Zamculture Notes 2
-Calling someone “fat” is a complement.
-Mud is nature’s Brillo pad.
-In America you say: “Me too!” In Zambia you say: “Even me!”
-Lines don’t exist here. They just don’t. You just shove your way like it’s last call at the bar.
-Apparently it is customary for a visitor to urinate in their host’s bath shelter.
-It's considered rude to say no when you don't understand someone. So, if your English is minimal, just quickly repeat one of the following three phrases when posed any question: “Yeahyeahyeah!” or “Suresuresure!” or “Okayokayokay!” My neighbor is an expert at this.

Hey, I'm coming over. I need to get my fill of the Zambian system of complements. In our family we just say "You're BIG". And it signifies affection. Keep writing your stories, I love to read them.
